“ First time at Rise N Shine and we had an amazing experience! We were greeted warmly as we entered. The staff were nice and welcoming. Our hostess was friendly and that always deserves a star. Our food was delicious and everyone enjoyed every bite! My veggie omelette was tasty. All breakfast came with either toast, pancakes or biscuits and gravy. The children loved the pancakes. My daughter ordered the rib eye steak and eggs and she raved about it the whole time. We also loved the decor. The ambiance was like being in a country. Felt like we were in another state like Texas or something. It was so cool and relaxing. Now we know where to go after going to the shooting range. Highly recommend if you are in the area. They offer a lot of options and their breakfast options are really good. We can't wait to go back. They also have parking available in the plaza. We really loved everything about Rise N Shine. Just wished they had white rice too ”
“ Truly a hidden gem! On my way out to arizona or even coming back home to Bakersfield- we no longer head to Dennys or Ihop! We find a way to always come here, it's a must! They are all so welcoming and the food is amazing! You can tell it's homemade and made with love! We always go right at 7am and sometimes we catch some policemen ending their shift with some good breakfast! Great atmosphere all around! Make sure you bring cash! No cards or apple-pay! ”
“ Although it's been around a while, it is kinda a hidden gem. Nice local coffee shop type place in Shadow Hills. Disconnected from big city food and life style, this is a nice spot to come to in a nice area with horses and peacocks all around. Definitely a nice drive. Very cool old school country cowboy vibe. Lots of pictures, signs and the like. Even the table were cool, all wood different shapes and sizes. Not a lot of sit down breakfast options in my area so this was nice and probably somewhere I'll come to often. A regular coffee shop with great service. There were 7 of us. Seat yourself and there was plenty of room on this wet Sunday morning. Fairly basic menu for breakfast and lunch. Everyone in my group loved their food. I got a Western Omelette with potatoes with a biscuit and gravy. Also ordered were some regular bacon and eggs, a pretty large breakfast burrito, a BLT with onion rings and silver dollar pancakes for my grandson. Everyone loved everything. Including our server, Mel. She was amazing, fast and quick with a conversation. The food came out surprisingly fast although maybe I lost tract of time looking at the decor. Hot fast and fresh. Mel says they make many things in-house including the ranch dressing which surprising to me, some people were able to tell right off. Mel was awesome who stated her mom owns it and she runs the place. Definitely a locals spot, she also inferred that maybe a change in hours is to come. Maybe dinner?? ( my thoughts). Well worth the drive, definitely the only spot in sunland tujunga area. Except for ihop but I don't count that as a restaurant or food for that manner. Well worth it, 7 first timers and all 7 want to return. Enjoy, ”
“ Having breakfast with a friend, This place has the best pancakes and their French toast is really delicious too, I usually will order the Western Omelette and instead of country potatoes or hash browns I usually will order the tomato slices and sometimes I get a side of avocado. This morning I ordered the hamburger patty and three eggs over easy and the tomato slices and coffee and my friend Dave ordered the corn-beef hash with country potatoes and rye toast and coffee, both our meals with tax was $43.70 and so I paid $50.00 to include the tip. I highly recommend this place ”
